The awe-inspiring sequel to The Broken God

Danlo the Wild has started his quest into the stars, beyond the limits of the known universe to search for three things: his father, half god, half hero, Mallory Ringess; the lost city of Tannahill, home to the Architects; where he also hopes to discover the cure to the plague that is destroying his people.

From the Back Cover:

Danlo the Wild, the extraordinary son of Mallory Ringess, pursues the apocalyptic Architects of the Universal Cybernetic Church into the Vild.

There, far from Neverness where Danlo trained as a pilot, the sinister Architects are killing stars. There, humans are being used by gods to reshape matter and energy to change the laws of spacetime. And in the Vild, Danlo encounters the insane god who desires the destruction of everything.

“A disturbing vision of the impending collapse of a transgalactic society .. the ideas are hard SF with philosophical undertones, and the story is compelling. 'The Wild' makes you think.”
NEW SCIENTIST

“Zindell’s combination of adventure, metaphysics and intellectual debate works marvellously, leaving you ready for more.”
LOCUS

“SF as it ought to be: challenging, imaginative, thought-provoking and well-written. Zindell has placed himself at the forefront of literary SF.”
TIMES LITERARY SUPPLEMENT

“Zindell spins his tale with an impressive breadth of thought in this far future masterpiece ... definitely recommended.”
