Reprint - First 'Greenway' edition. 252pp. Agatha Christie's 'Ten Little Niggers' is hard-to-find in any hardback edition. This is volume 24 of the Collins Crime Club 'Greenway' edition of Christie's works. "Ten people are invited to a lonely mansion on an island, off the coast of Devon, by a host who unfortunately fails to appear.ten people of whom it can truthfully be said that each one had something out of the past to hide, something perhaps of which to be ashamed." The book is bound in green cloth/textured card covered boards with gold titling on the spine and facsimile of Agatha Christie's signature in gold on the front board. It is in very good condition with light bumping to the spine ends. The contents are tight and clean with no inscription. There is a little faint foxing on the top, fore and bottom edges of the text block. The unclipped dustwrapper has some shelf wear with light soiling and rubbing along the top edge. The spine ends and corners are lightly bumped with wear to the paper at the spine corners and corner tips and there is a minor dent on the rear spine edge about 1 1/2" from the bottom. There are some small nicks at the top of the spine and the spine is very slightly faded. There is some foxing although this is only visible on the reverse of the wrapper. Size: 8" tall. A nice copy of the rare 1977 Greenway edition (volume 24) of Agatha Christie's greatest detective novel, these days known as 'And then there were none'. This was only the 2nd UK hardback edition of this work and the last to use the original title. A VG clean copy - just the slightest hint of spotting to page edges and two pages towards the rear have slight creasing to top corners, otherwise fine. Dust wrapper is complete but price clipped - a little edge wear with slight chipping mainly to corners and head & tail of spine which has just a slight hint of sunning.
