Powerful thriller set in London, Europe and Middle-East, with hard-hitting non-fiction angles to exploit.

Ever since his days of collaboration with Dominique Lapierre (Or I’ll Dress You in Mourning, Is Paris Burning?, The Fifth Horseman, etc.) Larry Collins has been a top level investigative writer as well as a craftsman of the thriller novel. Now he turns his great eye for a story on the true, terrifying and growing link between religious fundamentalism, the world drugs trade and the establishment of Iran as the next nation to be openly recognized as a member of the ‘nuclear club’. Is the West being deliberately destabilized by terrorist organizations? Does Iran already have the bomb? A fabulously fast-paced thriller, packed with suspense and rich with great characters, Tomorrow Belongs to Us explores this area of genuine research, which will get a lot of press coverage on publication.

Review:

Praise for Fall From Grace:

‘The narrative intensity is such that you pass easily from reality to fiction... a fantastic novel of espionage’
Le Figaro

‘A fascinating and intricate story told with the masterly polish we expect from Larry Collins’
Len Deighton

From the Back Cover:

An explosive thriller packed with authentic detail. 'Tomorrow Belongs to Us' exposes the true and terrifying link between religious fundamentalism, the world drugs trade and the establishment of Iran as the next nation to be openly recognized as a member of the 'nuclear club'. With the West overflowing with cheap heroin and the news media reporting daily on Iran's armament capability, this novel can truly claim to tell the story behind the headlines.

Former CIA agent Jim Duffy, a Near East expert, is urgently recalled from retirement by the agency. The situation is grave. The CIA believes that the Iranians have got hold of three nuclear warheads – although reports remain unconfirmed – and that they are financing their pursuit of nuclear capability with huge sums of money from drug trafficking. Heroin is flooding western markets and with Afghanistan now the world's leading producer of raw opium, most of which passes through Iran on its way to Turkey and the West, the mullahs are taking a cut on every kilo. If Duffy, with his specialist knowledge, can track the flow of money, this might open the door into the Iranian arms procurement programme.

Meanwhile, in Europe, Kair Bollahi, known to his associates as the Professor, is shopping for high-tech equipment. Ostensibly working for the National Iranian Oil Company in London, in reality he is one of the senior members of a secret terrorist organization, controlled by VEVAK, the Iranian Security Service. His primary function is to procure in Europe the hardware required for 'Operation Khalid', a devastating plan to blow up Tel Aviv and take back Palestine for Islam.

When Duffy brings confirmation to Washington of Iran's possession of nuclear devices, the Americans must confront their worst nightmare. Although to wreak maximum destruction the Iranians will have to reconfigure the weapon, it is only a matter of time. Can Jim Duffy track down the warheads before it is too late and prevent the nightmare from becoming a reality?
