One stormy evening when Jamie us staying with his Grandfather a strange bird walks in through the gate. Grandfather thinks he must have come from the chicken farm – but that doesn’t explain why the bird is such a sorry state, with hardly any feathers at all! They name the bird Thomas and he soon makes himself very much at home. But having a bird in the house can be a bit messy and disruptive and so Jamie and Grandfather hatch a plan to give Thomas a wonderful surprise – but finally it is Thomas to provides the biggest surprise of all!

Clare works as a fine art painter and printmaker, and has always had a special interest in drawing. She has had many solo and group exhibitions, both nationally and internationally.
