Little Grey Rabbit is one of the classic gems of children’s literature. The series is being relaunched, tying in with a new, beautifully animated television adaptation, and will delight children as much today as when it was first published seventy years ago.
One day, little Grey Rabbit bumps into Brush, the wandering hedgehog, who travels up and down the country like a gypsy. He tells her stories and asks for a winter coat in exchange.
Of course, Hare doesn’t want to give his coat to an old ragamuffin, but after a chat with Brush and a smoke of his wonderful pipe, he decides he’s not such a bad fellow...Squirrel too finds the Hedgehog’s simple ways charming, and the three friends collect scraps of material to make him fine new patchwork coat.
So he may not have a penny, or a shoe, but the wandering hedgehog has a coat worthy of the Emperor of China – and some new friends!

Little Grey rabbit lives with Squirrel and Hare in a house on the edge of a wood.
One day Grey Rabbit sniffs the sweet smell of a wood fire. Peeping round a nearby hedge she finds a stranger. It is Wandering Hedgehog, who hasn't a roof over his head, but travels the world, seeing life. Soon Grey Rabbit is sitting on a tuft of moss, sipping his good broth and listening with delight to his tales.
Squirrel and Hare are at first quite disdainful of the 'dirty old ragamuffin'. But when they meet him, neither can resist the sparkle in his eye. He has a certain something they have never come across before
But it gets cold wandering the world, and there is something the Wandering Hedgehog would like more than anything... will the three friends be able to help?
