Nick Butterworth's stories about Percy the park keeper and his animal friends have become classic favourites with children everywhere. This special gift edition brings the first four Percy stories together in one volume. Together they bring a whole, unforgettable, year with Percy and his friends to life.
Percy the park keeper and his animal friends were first introduced in a story called One Snowy Night in which, one by one, the animals knocked on Percy's door needing shelter on a cold winter's night. The trouble was that poor Percy found he no longer had a bed to sleep in!
As winter turned to spring, The Secret Path told of Percy's intention to tidy up the old maze, but when the animals decided to have a little fun, it turned into a huge prank that went badly wrong.
During the hot days of summer, Percy sometimes has a day off when he likes nothing better than a picnic, a good book and a snooze. In Rescue Party one such day was dramatically interrupted as Percy was called upon to save a young rabbit.
Autumn is always a busy time for Percy but in After The Storm the damage caused by the wind was so devastating that it took all Percy's ingenuity, skill and a little help from his friends to bring life in the park back to normal.
The Percy stories have been translated into fifteen languages and have sold one and a half million copies. A year in Percy's Park marks this great achievement by bringing the first four stories together in one beautifully produced volume.
