A fifth title [fourth novel] about Little Wolf as he and his friends set up the Yelloweyes Forest Detective Agency.

The fourth novel about Little Wolf, his cousin Yeller, baby brother Smellybreff, Stubbs Crow and Normus Bear who set up the Yelloweyes Forest Detective Agency . Following the departure of their main teacher and star attraction of Haunted Hall for Small Horrors, Little and chums close the school to become forest detectives. Their specialities are tracking and trailing with Stubbs Crow being the flying squad; Smellbreff specialising in small clues and Normus Bear specialising in large clues. Written in letter form by Little Wolf, who specialises in appalling spelling, this novel is sure to follow in the footsteps of the previous 3 in delighting young and older readers. Sales of the previous titles exceed 100,000 copies [including huge sales in last year’s Books for Schools campaign] and the books have been translated into ten languages and are now published in the USA too.

Review:
Age 5-8

Ian Whybrow's Little Wolf simply has to be one of the funniest book characters you are ever likely to meet, combining sheer dopiness and wide-eyed innocence with a certain wily charm that young readers will find hard to fault.

In Little Wolf, Forest Detective our hero turns his hand to a little detective work as he sets out on the trail of Mister Twist the Fox who has stolen the ghost of Uncle Bigbad from his home in a whisky bottle.

Along with his best buddies, he sets up the Yelloweyes Forest Detective Agency, but they soon realise that tracking down Uncle Bigbad's ghost is the least of their worries as the most peculiar things start to happen around them.

Told in the form of letters to his parents, the story takes some astonishing twists and turns, which combine the elements of tension and surprise with a sharp, child-like wit that is sure to appeal to even the most reluctant reader, Little Wolf Forest Detective is, quite simply, barking mad and has infinite appeal for the naughty little schoolboy in all of us--Susan Harrison

Hugely entertaining, emphasising the fun of shared reading... Bookseller

One of the funniest, and most engaging books... witty and quirky, Little Wolf is hugely enhanced by Tony Ross’s pen and ink touch. Scotland on Sunday

Lots of good jokes enlivened by Tony Ross’s engaging hand. 8 year olds should laugh, along with any other older reader. Sunday Times
