Inspire today’s kids to be tomorrow’s heroes!
Discover 25 historic kids whose courage changed their lives—and world history!- Want your kids to know how much they can accomplish by reading about other brave, real-life kids?
- Hope to help your child learn more about where your own family came from—the countries, cultures, and stories behind your family tree?
- Want your kids to get to travel in their minds to places all over the world—seeing how people lived, worked, learned, fought, created, and hoped?
Here’s how this book is designed for curious kids:
- 25 short, fun, easy-to-read biographies of real kids who made a difference
- Vivid illustrations and engaging discussion guides bring history to life
- Project ideas and thought-provoking questions for families and classrooms: are guerilla sneak attacks fair? Can we trust an emperor's autobiography? Would you hire your family to build and sell your invention?
- An ideal companion for any school or home curriculum with stories from the 1400s to 1900s covering Africa, Asia, Europe, the Pacific, and North and South America
- Learn how...
- a 12-year-old girl dug up dinosaur bones in England
- a Korean teen’s courage helped spark a nationwide call for freedom
- a kid in France created a reading system that changed millions of lives
- an Italian teenage artist was so talented a jealous rival punched him
- throughout history, not all young kings and queens lived fairy tale lives
- Fact-filled bios explore key historical contexts about the Renaissance, Enlightenment, imperialism, WWII, and more
- Written with love by an Ivy League history graduate whose three kids learn best through stories
Kids are busier than ever these days, but this book is NOT a cover-to-cover commitment! Each chapter stands alone—bite-sized for bedtime, road trips, or any small moment away from screens.
Unlike dustier history books, this one will engage because kids can relate to other kids! They prove that age doesn’t limit impact.
Something for everyone, featuring both boys and girls from many backgrounds and interests—artists to athletes, musicians to military.
And because these stories span so many countries and cultures, this book also offers something personal: a chance for kids to discover more about where their family may have come from—and to better understand the smaller world of today.
Give your kids, students or grandkids:
- Confidence from knowing fun facts
- Love of history
- The courage to shape their own stories
