Hi, I have put this set together as these four early 1950s Wisdens all have lovely bright gilt to the front of the book and also to the spine, the latter being quite hard to find as it dulls so easily. They also have very good hinges. A lovely set. There are a few things to note : 1950 - Marks to the rear board as shown otherwise very nice indeed for the year. 1951 - A couple of small marks to the front board, otherwise very nice indeed for the year 1952 - A couple of small marks to the spine , weaker hinges than the others but still strong. 1953 - Very good all round, as nice as the one in my main set.
