About this Item
] Hardback quarto appx 7 3/4 x 10 3/4 inches, dark brown embossed covers, 112 pages, Near or About VG. Sound binding, no stains, no tears, pretty much minor rubbing wear corners-spine ends-edges. Pasted to the first interior page is original owner s commencement invitation (envelope within an envelope w/ personalized card laid-in: Edwin Burklund . Stated next to Burklund s photo within: Hobby - Music. As often is the case there are numerous signatures of students and staff throughout the book including the 3 full Autograph pages at the rear. Of note is a handwritten name at the top edge of the Senior Class Play photograph on p 44 with a line drawn down to a fellow in the back row that s signed as Bob Knievel (Tony), who must not have been in the graduating class. (He was Tony in the play, probably.) Wiki information has it (undoubtedly?) that Bob Knievel (Tony) (Robert E. Knievel) was the father of Robert Craig Evel Knievel. Furthermore, there does happen to be a 1934 Butte High graduate named Mildred Kenoffel who was probably related to the William Kenoffel (nicknamed Awful Kenoffel) from whom Evel Knievel apparently drew the inspiration (in the 1950s) for his own nickname. (and Covellite is a sulfide mineral of copper) RWR5 Montana Local History Regional Interest Public Schools. Seller Inventory # 07978
