Hi, This lot is an Original 1933 Hardback Wisden that I am selling on behalf of a fellow Holmfirthian. It is in OK condition Most 33s are like this (Wisden changed their materials this year) but the book has faded spine gilt and some fading to the front board gilt, the boards are quite marked. Internally it is a decent enough book, an ever so slight weakness to the front hinges, the paste downs and page block are showing a bit of darkness but the rest of the book is in nice shape. Nice price. Condition = 5/10. Seller Inventory # 543265

Hi, This lot is a 1933 Original Hardback Wisden in OK to Good Condition. Pretty decent for the year. Wisden chaaged materials in '33 and the quality of the books suffered as a result, hence why '33-'36 seem a lot more faded than the early 1920s Hardbacks. This 1933 has a few faults but nicely priced. The spine gilt has faded and there is white paper to a section of the spine. The front gilt had faded in areas, the hinges are decent but you can see mesh around them, mainly at the rear , slight bump to the top at the rear but complete with an excellent photoplate. Hi, This lot is a 1933 Original Hardback Wisden in just Good Condition, Wisden chaaged materials in 1933 and the quality of the books suffered as a result, hence why 1933-36 seem a lot more faded than the early 20s Hardbacks. This book has pretty clean boards but the gilt is faded to the spine and fading to the front , there is also a large nick to the edges of the spine cloth as shown. Both hinges are weak but not broken and there is a book plate to the first page showing how many miles this book has travelled. Nice clean pages and Excellent photoplate. Condition=6/10. Hi, This lot is a 1933 Original Hardback Wisden in Good+ Condition, very good for the year. Wisden chaaged materials in 1933 and the quality of the books suffered as a result, hence why 1933-36 seem a lot more faded than the early 20s Hardbacks. This 1933 has very nice gilt, bright to the front and almost bright to the spine, the boards are in good order but the spine has some markings and a bit dark which takes the edge of the nice gilt. Internally the hinges are good, but you can see mesh to the front one, still tightly bound and holds the boards off the desk. Nice clean pages inside and photoplate. Nicer than many of this year and a nice price. Condition=7/10. Seller Inventory # 542014

Hi and Welcome to our Store. Over the years I have picked up a few spare Hardbacks so listing them today. This lot is an 1933 Original Hardback Wisden. In Good to Very Good Condition. This book is one of the books collectors curse as Wisden change the materials it used in 1933 and it has resulted in the 1933 being in poor condition a lot of the time. The book has had the gilt restored to front and spine and the hinges may have been repaired (hard to tell) , otherwise it is a very good example of this year with vlean boards and internally nice with a Great Photoplate.
