PASTED IN: on blank frontis opposite the title page, is a letter headed memo page of O.Roy Chalk, gifting the book to Sen Cannon, signed/dated 1973, O.Roy Chalk purchased the transit service in 1956 and oversaw the transition from streetcars to busses, which was completed in 1962. A unique copy, sigined by an American political icon and the commercial entrepreneur who owned/operated the U.S. Capitol's main public transit system of the 20th century.
