About Studio Bookshop

Studio Bookshop was set up in Brighton in 1995, but I have been trading in books professionally since 1982 in shops and by catalogues, and since 1997, the internet. Our specialities include 1. Catalogues: Exhibitions, Auctions, Collections, Catalogues Raisonne, etc, mainly art and design. 2. Poetry including small press and critical and auto/biographical works. 3. Oxford and Cambridge University Presses in original cloth and dustjackets (use the keyword facility "oxbridge"). 4. Books on Glass - we are the UK specialist in this subject - see our catalogue. 5. Books on Spain, and more recently collectible books in Spanish. 6. Resistance, Rebellion, Revolution - books dealing with riots, uprisings, etc., 7. Literature: Modernism for 20th century texts and criticism. 8. Lieterature: Arthurian. 9. Literature: Shakespeare. 10. Acadaemic books in literature and the humanities. 11. Art and Artists Monographs. 12. Other collectible items in all our catalogue lists (click below). Postage will be adjusted to cost over 1.25 kilos. This will be at cost, no extra for packing or insurance.

All books are offered subject to availability. The bookseller reserves to right to alter or remove items at any time. We update our accounts weekly, so you can generally order with confidence. [Information regarding the right of cancellation]

Shipping Terms:

Shipping costs are based on books weighing a maximum of 2.2 pounds, or 1 kilogram. This will be what you have been quoted. If the book is over 1.2 kilograms we will use the abe system to let you know. Postage will be then be charged at cost, including insurance on items over £50 in value. All books abroad will be shipped as so-called ‘priority’, since surface, or as abe calls it, ‘standard’, is uninsurable, untrackable, slow, and not particularly cheaper anymore. For larger sets we will obtain on-line shipping quotes. We charge just what it costs, there is no packing charge. We use all recycled cardboard, and pack each item individually and with care to fit the book.
