About the Author:
Tsong Khapa Losang Drakpa (1357-1419), founder of the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, was one of Tibet's greatest philosophers and a prolific writer. Thomas F. Yarnall is an Associate Research scholar in the Department of Religion at Columbia University.
