From the Publisher:
THE BOOK, AND REVIEWERS' COMMENTS.
Up until late 1995, our house, Accurate Press, published only technical and non-fiction works. At that time, we made the decision to publish John Ross' novel UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES, which was quite a stretch for us as this hardcover is 861 pages long. It was our hope that this book would do for our firm what Clancy's HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER did for the Naval Institute Press. Like us, NIP had previously published only non-fiction, and RED OCTOBER became their largest seller ever. UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES is already the biggest seller we have ever had, it is well into its second printing, and sales are increasing every week. Several points are in order:

2: This is a controversial book. Kirkus Reviews, Booklist, and Library Journal all claim that they review books with commercial potential. Though UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES sold out its first print run in 4 months with no advertising, all three of these entities refuse to review it. Many libraries refuse to buy it (though most will take it as a donation), and many distributors refuse to stock it and will only special-order. That is the reason for the long waits you are sometimes quoted.

The following are some reviewers'comments about the book:

"Magnificent...will terrify and appall jackbooted stormtroopers everywhere, and even more so the whimpering media geeks who squat to lick those boots." --Colorado Springs Gazette-Telegraph.

"This is the most disturbing book I have ever read. That said, it ranks only below Holy Scripture as required reading...the most frightening novel ever written about a federal bureaucracy spun totally out of control." --Peter Kokalis, editor of Fighting Firearms.

"That rarest of thrillers: a dynamic story with overwhelming national significance which requires no suspension of disbelief... you will not be able to put it down." --The Special Forces Resister.

"What Harriet Beecher Stowe did in 1853 [showing the horrors of slavery in Uncle Tom's Cabin] John Ross has done for today's struggle for individual freedom...Read it!" --Aaron Zelman, Executive Director, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership.

"Finally, a modern novel of liberty to rival Rand's Atlas Shrugged...a masterwork." --Vin Suprynowicz, Las Vegas Review-Journal.

"The most important work of fiction I have read in over a decade." --Dr. Edgar Suter, Chairman of Doctors for Integrity in Policy Research.

"Describes the scenario I've been worrying about for ten years...that damn Ross wrote my book!" --Col. James Jeffries III, the federal prosecutor responsible for convicting Spiro Agnew. Jeffries is now in private practice defending Constitutional issues.
