Frontispiece of "Eccentrics and Well-Known Characters in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne" plus numerous illustrations throughout text. Publishers' bottle-green cloth with gilt titles and decoration to spine in unclipped pictorial dust-jacket. Spine tips lightly rubbed; slight fingermarking to fore-edge otherwise clean and crisp. Jacket toned and lightly creased, and entirely covered in adhesive transparent plastic backing. A Near Fine copy in gtood jacket. Classic collection of northern minstrelsy with an important introduction by Dave Harker, widely regarded (by this bookseller at least) as the foremost authority on the subject.
