Book Selling History ----
We have been selling used and new books since 1990. We had a store called the Cobourg Bookroom located in Cobourg, Ontario, Canada until 2003. We started selling books on the internet in 1996. Over the years we watched that portion of our sales grow until in 2003 it had reached 75% of our sales thus leading to the decision to close the store and shift exclusively to the internet. Sounds easy but it was a lot of work reorganizing the huge inventory. As a family run business operating out of our home, we reopened exclusively online in January 2005 as “ kbooks online”.
Kbooks is now an online bookseller, located in the east end of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. We currently have an inventory of over 23000 titles online and about another 5,000 to be added to the database. We have a fine collection of antiquarian and rare books many in leather bindings that are our pride and joy. Our inventory subject range is diverse with a wide selection of most subjects. We have a primary focus on Canadianna and Canadian authors as well as Art, Antiques, Science, Literature, and many general interest areas. A large percentage of our books are new and those that are”gently used”, are of the highest standards. Books of lower quality are excluded from our inventory. ----
