The second novel in C.S. Lewis' famous Narnia series, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was first published in 1950. The story sees four children, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy, discovering a magical world called Narnia through the back of a wardrobe. In this world they meet Aslan the great lion and the evil White Witch, who is holding the land hostage to an eternal winter.
