Abebooks.com (Advanced Book Exchange Inc.), the leading worldwide Internet platform for antiquarian, out-of-print and second-hand books, has acquired Europe's JustBooks, effective 01.10.2001. With websites in German, English and French, and a selection of over 5 million books, JustBooks is a leading European Internet platform for second-hand books.
Abebooks.com's dominant position in North America along with a network of more than 8,800 book dealers as well as partnerships in Europe, Asia and Australia, make abebooks.com a leader in the online book market. Through the acquisition of JustBooks, abebooks.com strengthens its position in the European market, which is expected to be one of the most dynamic regions in the industry.
