A collection of short stories following Allingham's serial detective Albert Campion. These digest-magazine sized original collections have become quite difficult to find. This copy has a darkened spine (although the lettering is still clear), light rubbing and the usual discoloration of the paper (due to the poor quality of paper used). Black cloth with bright red-inked print on the spine, rubbed along edges with stained and spotted covers, in dust jacket rubbed at spine edges, soiled at rear, label remains at rear endpaper, not priceclipped, $2.00 price intact but all corners have been trimmed. One story, "The Border-Line Case" is a locked room mystery [Robert Adey-Locked Room Murders, revised edition, 1991; #39]. Very scarce. Book.
