Hardcover. Small 4to. Light brown cloth over bevelled board with gilt lettering and ivory and black pictorial stamping. (41pp). All edges gilt. Partly-color sepia-tone frontispiece, numerous partly-color sepia-tone illustrations Very good. Slightest of binding edgewear, else tight and bright and internally near fine. A lovely copy of this slim poetry anthology heavy on Robert Burns, Thomas Moore and Shakespeare, found in different cloths and bindings but invariably undated; this example bears the handsomely inked line "May 4th 1891" on front flyleaf, thus approximately dating it. British artist and illustrator Havers died in August 1890 at age 40, which perhaps spurred the popularity of this anthology.
