This is a signed presentation copy - together with a brief personal message - from the author to Tom Balston, the artist, art collector and author. The covers and spine are barely worn, clean and retain their original colour. The gilding on the spine is still bright. The binding is firm and the hinges are sound. However, there is quite heavy foxing on the fore edge and less severe foxing on the on the front and rear pastedowns. The page edges have browned. The contents are in very good condition.
