Condition: Good. 1951. Fifth Edition. Unpaginated. No dust jacket. Paper covered boards. Contains colour illustrations throughout. Pages are mildly tanned with visible foxing. Mild cracking to gutters, however binding remains firm. Boards have light edgewear with corner crushing and heavy foxing to boards. Heavy tanning to board edges and spine, which has mild crushing and tearing to ends. Book has forward lean.

Colour illustrated dustwrapper, same illustration as for the underlying boards, with black coloured titles to the top edge and backstrip. First published in 1951. The story of an inquisitive baby harvest mouse, and how he was captured by a good natured girl by the name of Susan, who, after keeping him at home for a night returns him to where she found him. Softening and rubbing of the backstrip edges and book corners. Foxing scattered across the board's. Age toning of the edges and a previous owner has placed their name to the top edge of the free front end page, and, underneath that is a red coloured marker name. A few marks to the pages. Chipping to the dustwrapper corners and backstrip edges. Rubbing and creasing of the dustwrapper edges with rubs and marks to the panels. Fading of the backstrip. Stains and foxing to the verso. There is a stain to the right hand corner of the front panel commensurate with underlying stain to the verso. Sixth Edition. Size: 12mo (Small Hardcover). Not paginated [52 pages].
