Hardcover. Condition: Very good +. Dust Jacket Condition: good +. Diana Thorne (illustrator). The DJ is covered in a removable plastic cover. The front is in very good condition but the back top edge is very crumpled with some tears but appears almost complete despite this damage. Please see photos. The bottom edge has a missing piece, 2.3 x 2.5cm. The boards are covered in green paper and the front has a picture of a terrier as well as the title; this may explain the 24th picture. There are 23 plates inside this book. On the dust wrapper it says that there should be 24 but the book does not contain a list of plates and after extensive research we cannot find any copy that definitely has 24 plates, most say they have 23 plates, occasionally less, and certainly there is no sign of a plate that has been removed. Additionally, despite the DJ stating that the author has collected 60 pictures, there are at least 62! On the FEP there is an inscription - see photo. The book has a spiral binding. The plates are all in VG condition and are monochrome or coloured in variations of black and tan. 29 pages in total inc. FEP etc. This is a large book and may cost more postage for international customers.
