All moving parts are working and in excellent condition with the exception of the first, Dorothy meeting the Scarecrow, whose pull tab it on the verge of tearing and the scarecrow is reinforced with tape. Shelfwear: light scuffing along edges and cover boards, some light fraying along spine edge, tape has been laid between 3-4, small tear on the bottom edge of page 10. Tightly bound, no marks. Volume is in Good-plus condition.

Other illustrations in the book are in blue and black. The scarce Very Good- condition dust jacket, which matches the book cover, has chips at top and bottom of spine and on the front and back cover. The book's $1.00 price is shown on the front flap. The book measures 10.5 x 8.25 inches.

The spine is sundarkened and has several small tears where the plastic binding has protruded. A remarkably clean and collectible copy, especially with the moveables being clean, crisp, and intact; uncommon in the original dust jacket. First edition with 1946 on the copyright page and no subsequent printings listed.
