A married couple retraced Marco Polo's route across Asia to the Mediterranean. Before that trip the author had traveled on her own in Europe before the Second World War. During the War she joined the American Red Cross and served doughnuts and coffee to support the 396th Fighter Wing in Italy. Later she worked for the UN relief organization in China, and as executive assistant to the president of the Central Bank of China. Very good in very good wrapper.
