This photographic Carte de Visite was done by Alexander Bassano. Copyright.Studios at 25 Old Bond St. London. Information and copyright notice appearon the verso of the photograph. There are also two faint purple circular stamps from the firm of "William Spooner Printers and Publishers,The Strand"at the top and bottom of the back of the photograph. With "Bassano Copyright" blindstamped at the bottom right-hand corner of the photographic front of the card. Signed boldly in black ink by "Victoria R." at the bottom of the photograph. Good plus condition. The photo of Queen Victoria in full regalia is lightly faded, but the black ink signature is dark and bright. The verso of the card has some chipping and pieces missing from the bottom edge and pieces of the backing are missing from the top right and left-hand corners, but this does not affect the actual photograph. There is, however, some very tiny chipping to the very bottom edge of the photo. A very scarce and desirable Carte de Visite signed by Queen Victoria.
