Book First Edition
Hardcover. Condition: Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. Mable Pyne (illustrator). 1st Edition. The Little History of the United States was written and illustrated by Mable Pyne. The book was published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1940 and appears to be a First Edition but is not specifically stated as such. The book is not particularly "little", I believe the "Little" in the title applies to potential readers/perusers of the book. The book is 10" by 13" and has about fifty pages with simple color illustrations and short statements of fact. It is not an ex-library copy, the book is in good + condition, and the dust jacket in good condition at best. From the map of the United States end pages . . . "From Coast to Coast by plane 15 hours, by train 2 1/2 days, by automobile about 10 days, by stagecoach and rail 25 days." I will agree, it IS a bit dated. Thank you!.
