Geological frontispiece map of England and Wales plus a long hand coloured plate of strata, another plate of geological apparatus and a table - all folding. Very good. Although the title page states "Part I" no further material was published. Conybeare was "one of the band of pioneers [who] raised the study of rocks and fossils into the science of geology. The chief investigator and describer of the early discoveries of marine fossil reptiles in Britain" (Challinor p. 185).
