Hardcover. Condition: Fine. 1st Edition. Original publisher's pink cloth binding with a beautiful illustration on the front cover showing flowers with pink blossoms and green leaves. Floral decoration also on spine. 5 3/8" x 7 3/4." Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Binding is tight. Small spots of rubbing on the front cover illustration. A Fine copy. Charlotte "Lottie" Blair Parker (1858-1937) was an American playwright and actress. She wrote about a dozen plays but is perhaps best-known for Way Down East, Under Southern Skies, and The Redemption of David Corson. The Redemption of David Corson was adapted from this book. Homespun is a moral tale that focuses on the people of New England and New England culture.

Corners bumped, lower corners tips are to boards, light edgewear and minor general soil, decoration on spine rubbed, front hinge is broken at title page. Previous owner gift inscription to front pastedown. Front endpaper missing. Text shows the occasional thumb smudge, but is overall clean and bright. A review of Homespun in the New York Times (14 Aug. 1909) read: "It is as moral as a Sunday school tale, and at the end pleases if not surprises the reader by the tableau of virtue triumphant and vice in the dust.".
