Photos, 9.5 x 6.75", hardcover, 491pp with index, covers a bit rubbed, minor extremity wear, hinges loose else a nice copy in a well-worn, edge- chipped, spine-browned dustjacket. CHILDREN'S AUTHOR JULIA COOLEY ALTROCCHI'S COPY, INSCRIBED (TO HER) AND SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR, WITH ALTROCCHI'S NOTES. Carter was partners with Frederick W. Becker, who was Altrocchi's uncle; an old cabinet card photo of him (with the image reproduced in the book) is included, identified on reverse by Altrocchi, who is also mentioned in the book. Included is a carbon copy of a letter from Altrocchi's brother wo the author, mentioning his sister as a possible source of a photo of Becker, with Koegel's original letter, and the original mailing envelope from Altrocchi's brother to her. With a printed "family tree" of lawyers/firms tracing their roots back to Becker and Carter.
