Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. The boards are very shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with a large chip from the top of the spine. Despite this, the boards remain intact and strong, with gold gilt to the front and spine. Internally, there are stamp markings on the fold-out map included with the book, and the publication page. The pages are quite heavily marked and worn, but remain complete and legible despite this. The binding has been carefully repaired and is secure. JK. Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. First Edition. The boards are quite shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with fraying along the edges, but they remain otherwise strong and sturdy. Internally, the hinges have been reinforced. There is a stamp marking on the early pages and very sporadic age-related marking throughout, but the text remains otherwise neat and complete. Hardcover. Condition: Good. Red boards rubbed and discol. with a small dark black blot and patches of bleaching esp. to middle of lower board. Faded rubber stamp to upper board and rubber stamp to ffep and to title page. Bit of foxing to reverse of fold-out colour map which is attached to Contents page although both map and contents page are detached. [l] + 458pp + [xix] ads. Gilt titling to upper board is clear but gilt to spine faded. Crack at front joint and binding is loose but holding. Pages 295-298 proud of textblock at bottom edge and accordingly creased. What appears to be red speckling to textblock edges. Last page browned. Contents largely undiscoloured and unmarked but a tad age-toned. Overall delicate but holding up. Good minus. Scarce.
