Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. Offered is a print entitled "Gasparilla Day" by Kent Hagerman (1893-1978). With the border, the print measures 9-7/8" by 13" - the print itself measures 7" by 9". I am not an expert on prints, and would place this print circa 1940s. Printed directly under the print is the title and artist's printed name. Condition: written to the lower margin nearest the print is an inscription in blue pen (not from the artist): "To My 'Yankee' Friend - From his 'Rebel' Pal. Jay"; the medium-stock paper is lightly age-browned and shows edge wear and corner creases; there is a small pin-hole and tape remnant to the top where the print was previously hung.

The Fairchild C-119 Flying Boxcar (Navy and Marine Corps designation R4Q) was an American military transport aircraft developed from the World War II-era Fairchild C-82 Packet, designed to carry cargo, personnel, litter patients, and mechanized equipment, and to drop cargo and troops by parachute. The first C-119 made its initial flight in November 1947, and by the time production ceased in 1955, more than 1,100 C-119s had been built. Its cargo-hauling ability and unusual twin-boom design earned it the nickname "Flying Boxcar". (wikipedia). Signed by Author(s).
