The last great cubist book, and perhaps the last great illustrated mystical book. Contains virtually the entire corpus of Albert Gleizes' intaglio prints. Illustrated with 57 original etchings (Loyer 21-77) by Gleizes, including 12 full-page and hors-texte. Edition limited to 235 numbered copies printed on extremely fine Montval laid paper. This copy, exceptionally, has the suite of 15 large "eaux-fortes préparatoires" (Loyer 6-20), intended only for the first 45 copies. Loose as issued, in publisher's board chemise and slipcase. FINE AND BRIGHT WITH NO DEFECTS. 72 original etchings by Albert Gleizes, from his lifetime total of 79. Rare and important.
