Soft cover. Condition: Good. Poster 675 x 378 cm, folding to 32 x 24 cm. A folding publicity poster for this French passenger liner which operated to the West Indies. Illustrated in colour, with views of interiors, a cut away panorama of the ship, and on the reverse a map and details of the islands at which the ship called. In very good condition. The ship was built in Brest in 1952 and launched in 1953. She hit a submerged reef in 1971 and sank without loss of life. The poster is undated but there were modifications made to the ship in 1956 and we think the poster dates to the early period 1953-56. A nice item of shipping memorabilia.
