Book
Hard Back. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Good. 293 Pages Indexed. Family Bookshelf Edition 7312. Black boards with yellow quarter spine and black lettering. Dust jacket cover price 7.95 is unclipped has some shelf scuffs, edge and spine wear as well as minor chipping. There is a small tear at the top of back endpapers at spine that appears to have been a manufactuing problem that caused the page to tear about 1/2 inch . No other defects noted and the book appears to have never been read. Begins with Washington's appointment as commander-in-chief and his initial stunning victories in New England. It continues through the seemingly never ending campaign: the terrible winters at Valley Forge and Morristown, the bitter defeats and partial victories, ending with the momentous Battle of Yorktown. There also brief summaries of Washington's early and later years, including of Washington's early and later years, including his terms as President. Excellent one volume biography for which there has long been a need.
