Signed, presentation copy by the author # 628. Cloth and contents near new. 238p with additional 4 page sheet laid in, 3 pages of which have printing and are numbered pages 239-241. 4th leave is blank. These sheets are a bit larger in size and possibly from the 2nd edition (?). The front of the jacket is good only.has wear to the head/tail at spine and a scraped/rubbed mark 3" long up 3/4" from the bottom edge. In protective, archival mylar. Numerous color and b&w photo illustrations throughout. From the jacket blurb "More than 2200 items of glass, silver and other products are reproduced in 64 brilliant full-color and 510 black and white illustrations. There are, in addition, 92 black and white photographs showing sections of the Glass Works at various times in history, employees at their crafts and other assorted and interesting memorabilia. An authorotative account of the history of Pairpoint Glass Works from the earliest days of The New Bedford Glass Works, Pairpoint Manufacturing Co, Pairpoint Glass Works, Gundersen-Pairpoint, to the last days of Pairpoint (Bryden's) in 1958.
