Under the leadership of Colonel Elbridge Woodman Palmer, the Kingsport Press became the printer for Grosset & Dunlap in the late 1920's. This copy from the vault at Kingsport Press in Kingsport, TN. Kingsport printed many books for Grosset & Dunlap and retained copies of most if not all of them for their own corporate archive. Stamped "Office File Copy" on top gutter. Production notes on pencil on the FFEP. Stated "Third Printing, August 1929" on the copyright page. Original green cloth with red title blocks on the front cover and spine. DJ worn at edges and folds with some separation at spine folds and minor chipping to top and bottom edge. Overall, an attractive copy with a very special history.
