C.S Lewis College planned
The C.S. Lewis Foundation is planning to create a C.S. Lewis College in Massachusetts. The proposed property is the former campus of two Christian schools and Christianity will be the key theme for the college and its students. Lewis was a former atheist who became a Christian in his thirties. To some people his writing on religion is more important than his fiction. The foundation lacks funds and is appealing for donations. It needs to raise $10 to $15 million.
According to foundation’s website:
The primary impact of our mission is on people’s lives – in the way they work, study, write, and live their lives for Christ – and in turn, how they influence those around them. Because we believe higher education, the artistic community, and churches are of strategic importance in impacting the larger culture, we focus most of our efforts in reaching out to people in these areas.
I hope the college has a bar and that the bar serves English bitter – read about Lewis’ favourite drinking hole.
