1957 Caldecott Medal winner. This is a beautiful vintage copy with $2.75 on the jacket flap; probably from about mid-1960s. Book is clean and bright and the pages are perfectly crisp with no "handling." There is a neatly written statement of ownershipo on the title page, else this book is Fine, just lovely. Dust jacket has a little puncture near the spine where the gutter of the book lies beneath it, a little sunning on the back panel, still Very Good or better. No Medal sticker. This is difficult to find in a first with a nice jacket, and reprints in jacket are not at all common. Please see photos. Bookseller Inventory # 95081501
