A small bookstore in rural Illinois specializing in children's books, mysteries of all kinds, and Illinois regional books. The only independent new bookstore in the Springfield area, and the only bricks and mortar mystery bookstore in Downstate Illinois. Store formerly housed the Smith Dress Shop, 1922-1991. Owner lives in apartment above the store. Located 20 miles south of Springfield on Illinois Route 4, part of Historic Route 66.
