No dust jacket. Cover boards are green in color with black chain decorations at top and bottom of front cover; black lettering on front and spine. This copy has some wear at the edges but is not ragged. Page edges are yellowing with age. This copy has been repaired by re-glueing text to spine; reinforcing tape to re-attach cover boards to cover pages. Front cover page has Presented by sticker from Friends of the Library under hand writting, in black ink. "with kindest regards - W.C. Holden". Rollie Burns was on the Plains before the Indians were forced onto Reservations; he saw the great buffalo herds; he was part of the cattle industry as foreman of the I O A ranch; he helped found the city of Lubbock; he served at tax assessor and collector for several years.
