Return to an order of the Honourable The House of Commons, dated 19 March 1866;- for, Returns ?Of the Number and Name (by Initials of Prisoners confined in the Gaol of Waterford under the Habaes Corpus Suspension Act, with the Date of the Committal of each up to the 17th day of March.? ?Of particulars of any Verbal or Written Order given to the Governor of the Gaol as to the Treatment of any or All Prisoners different from the Treatment of Untried Prisoners, and by whom given, and whether carried into effect.? ?Of the Number of Hours during Twenty-four that each Prisoner has been in Separate Confinement, and the Number of Hours allowed to Exercise each Day, with the cause for diminishing the Minimum Quantity of Exercise prescribed by the Prison Regulations, whenever such occurred.? ?Of the Number of Sundays each Prisoner has been Absent from Divine Service, and the cause of such Absence, whether arising from Illness, or being prevented by the Prison Authorities from Attending.? ?Showing whether any Prisoner has been precluded from the Privilege of seeing Members of his Family, or consulting with his Legal Adviser, subject to the usual Prison Regulations; and if so, owing to what cause.? ?And, Showing whether any Prisoner has been prevented from receiving or sending Verbal or Written Communications, subject to Prison Regulations; and if so, the reason of such Prevention.?] 4pp. Keywords: 19th Century Ireland, Prisons, Local History ?
