Very Good in Very Good Pictorial Dust Jacket. Flat signed by author on free front endpaper: "Good luck Jake Ehrlich". Ehrlich was the lead attorney for Lawrence Ferlinghetti, proprietor of the City Lights Books along with L. Speiser and A. Bendich, defending the sale of Allen Ginsberg's book Howl and other poems in the obscenity trial. He also represented Gene Krupa, Billie Holiday, Howard Hughes, Errol Flynn, and other notables. Red top stain somewhat faded. Blue cloth with gilt titling against red frame on front and spine. Covers show mild wear & age, with bruises to bottom corners, rubbing at top & tail of spine, a few small areas on front and rear where dust jacket has stuck to covers and left paper residue, mild discoloration on rear. Dust Jacket is price clipped, shows light rubbing, edge wear, wear at corners and top & tail of spine, damp staining to inside of dust jacket. Previous owner's bookplate at front pastedown; gift inscription at half title facing page; mild staining at edge of front pastedown/free front endpaper; otherwise interior is clean, crisp, tight & bright, other than the author's inscription unmarked. 297 pp. Approx. 6" x 8.5".
