Hurley has been called "Cincinnati's Etcher Laureate". As a major architectural and landscape artist he was also known as the leading artist of Rookwood Pottery. This thin volume shows scenes of Cincinnati--the city and the surrounding countryside--from the early 20th century. "With comment by Sara Sax." Pages aren't numbered. Cute little volumes in brown boards with paper over them, illustrated paper labels on front cover, but cracked through to paper at second end-paper, and boards mottled and detached, so handle with care; housed in a plastic bag. Clean of interior, hand-sewn signatures, and roughly 30 prints, each with captions. Signed by the author, in both cases, at frontis. Perfectly suitable for unbinding and framing.
