Blue-green cloth baords with gilt illustration on front board. Page dimensions: 202 x 129mm. The two photogravure plates show collections of game animal heads, both have an overlaying tissue paper guard with a printed key to the illustration. In the short preface to this new edition, the author notes that an index has now been added. "The bygone performances of an old 'muzzle-loader' may perhaps be considered rather obsolete by the young sportsman of the present with his double 'express.'
