The remarkable thing about this book, is the large signature on the first endpage: "R. Buckminster Fuller Sept. 6 - 1964 Plymouth, Mass." The book came from the home of Fuller's daughter, Allegra, long-time professor of dance at U.C.L.A. Fuller signed this in 1964, when Allegra was about 37 years old; perhaps he signed it for her because it was a favorite of hers. In any case, the signature, date, and place are large and bold, in blue ink or marker, taking up the top quarter of the first endpage. The book itself is a second printing in Very Good+ condition, as is the dust jacket. It is square and solid. Completely clean and unmarked (aside from the aforementioned signature, date, location). All of the leaves have a slight bend or crease in the upper right corner where the book was bumped and there is a fairly severe bump corresponding on the front cover. The upper left corner of the back cover is also bumped, but more mildly. Covers and spine are generally very clean with a few very faint rub spots on the back cover and a mere whisp of soiling near the top edge of the front cover (barely visible) and on the bottom edges. The dust jacket is not price-clipped. It has a few very tiny chips or baby tears, all shorter than 1/4". It is mostly very clean with a few patches of very light soiling here and there. A wonderful and uniquely personal memento from the life of one of the most creative minds of the 20th century. We will insure it, bubble-wrap it, and ship it in a box to insure safe delivery.
