About this title:

Synopsis: The strongest case yet for an inclusive church, the kind that was and has been, and lays bare its historical, theological, and spiritual roots.

Diarmuid O'Murchu holds tight the millions on the margins as well as the outsiders who honor Jesus but feel they don't fit in because of alternative vision or minority status resulting form race, ethnicity, social standing or sexual orientation.

Inclusivity is not only for Christians but also for people of other faiths attracted to the vision and life of Jesus but disenchanted with the language of exclusivity and power. It presents faith dynamic characterized by discipleship with an adult Jesus in the service of an adult God. It is a gift of the "Pope Francis effect," an inevitable drive to reach out and bring in. It is the next step in a movement toward spiritual wholeness.

About the Author: Diarmuid O'Murchu is the author of pioneering books that include Quantum Theology (1996 - revised in 2004), Reclaiming Spirituality (1998), Evolutionary Faith (2002), The Transformation of Desire (2007), Ancestral Grace (2008), Adult Faith (2010), and In the Beginning was the Spirit (2012), and God in the Midst of Change (2105).

A priest, missioner, and social psychologist, Diarmuid O'Murchu has worked with homeless people and refugees on there continents. His books have inspired people to ask him to lead workshops in Europe, USA, Canada, Australia, the Philippines, Thailand, India, Peru and in several African countries. He lives in London where (when not reading every book ever published and writing his own) he works as a counselor in bereavement work and with AIDS-HIV patients.

"Long recognized worldwide for his innovative and daring insights on the connections between Christian theology and other humanistic disciplines, Diarmuid O'Murchu helps us understand how the Holy Spirit dwells in the heart of the whole human history. O'Murchu's work will inspire and sustain the spiritual journey of people in all walks of life and in all parts of the globe." - Peter C. Phan, blurb from In the Beginning Was Spirit
