Lavender cloth w/green lettering, green and pink cover and spine illustrations of a lilac branch. Corners bumped, lower corners tips are to boards, light edgewear and minor general soil, decoration on spine rubbed, front hinge is broken at title page. Previous owner gift inscription to front pastedown. Front endpaper missing. Text shows the occasional thumb smudge, but is overall clean and bright. A review of Homespun in the New York Times (14 Aug. 1909) read: "It is as moral as a Sunday school tale, and at the end pleases if not surprises the reader by the tableau of virtue triumphant and vice in the dust.".
