Text is otherwise clean and bright, no marks. Rear hinge starting. Set in the early days of the New York colonies in the 18th century, a brother and sister seek their fortunes in the New World. Because of the brother's wild ways, the sister Aveline is forced into bonded service in the household of a Dutch woman on the banks of the Hudson in order to pay her passage.
